The Savings Account is generally opened by the salaried persons and by the persons who have regular income. Savings accounts are opened to encourage the people to save money and to inculcate the habit of saving. The bank offers a host of services under savings account with very single terms and conditions and minimal charges.
The salient features of the savings account:
1. Monitor and control funds through passbook, statement of account and cheque facilities. 2. Savings bank account earns an interest of 4% p.a and interest is calculated on daily product basis. 3. Interest will be credited at the end of September and March every year. 4. Nomination facility is available. 5. Transfer of accounts between our branches. 6. Collection of local cheques at free of charge. 7. Collection of outstation cheques with prescribed charges. 8. Minimum amount for opening of accounts without cheque will be Rs.100/-. 9. Minimum amount for opening of accounts with cheque will be Rs.500/-. 10.No.TDS amount will be deducted on interest earned.
Who can open?
1. An individual in his/her own name.
2. Individual in their joint names as Either or survivor (or) Former or Survivor (or) jointly.
